Wu Shang (The Grandfather) is one of the main antagonists of Ember's family. He is the vice-leader of the eponymously named group called the "Grampsion."

Wu Shang is Ember and Dusk's grandfather. An unmentioned event occurred which led to him - as well as the Mother -

brake away from the family.

​

Wu Shang founded and led the Grampsion in order to attack his family. He became demoted to vice, when Nix, who also had rivalry with the family, nearly killed him with his scythe skills.

 

Wu Shang has the ability to transform into any body of any individual that he has slaughtered. This grants him access to a wide range of other powers and weapons: tools of assault. He also commonly transforms into reincarnated entities.

As of today, Wu Shang is still alive.
